The Canary Islands are situated in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean not far away from Africa’s Westcoast and only an approximate 4 to 5 hours flight away from central Europe. The islands have more than 300 sunny days per year with all season mild mediterranean and subtropical climate, which is often referred to as an eternal spring. Moreover 12 hours of daylight every day throughout the whole year make it a perfect destination for photo and film productions.
Landscapes do not only vary a lot from island to island, further each kilometer of every island offers manifold sceneries and partly even different climate zones. There is almost anything to be found on the islands - desert areas, bright sandy as well as black beaches, green forests, palmtrees, even mountain tops covered by snow, fishing villages and big cities with a combination of traditional and modern architecture.
CANARY ISLANDS
La Palma
If La Palma were a color, it would be every shade of green. The contrast of lush forests up north and arid volcanic land down south blend in perfectly.
The island’s abrupt coastline is surrounded by clear blue waters in between marvellous natural pools that are protected from the waves by lava flows that reached all the way down to the ocean.
El Hierro
Most parts of El Hierro still remain untouched and the island therefore retains its pristine nature. Volcanoes, lava flows, luscious forests of pine trees and laurisilva, trees that bow down to the wind, abrupt cliffs, relaxing natural pools, staggering views.
There is a different scenery on every step within very short distances.
La Gomera
La Gomera is a magical paradise hidden inside the Canarian archipelago. Surrounded by towering rock walls, the island looks like an impermeable piece of land.
Stunning landscapes, deserted black-sand beaches, ancient forests, dizzying cliffs standing over a sea of crystalline water, virgin beaches and secret trails do make this island special.
